Ivan Teng Jun Hong

Ivan obtained his degree certification from Cardiff University and was called to the Bar on 24.3.2023.

Prior to joining Thomas Philip, he completed his pupillage with Sivananthan Advocates and Solicitors, a boutique criminal litigation firm where he was immersed in white-collar crimes and capital offences, primarily drug-trafficking and murder. There, Ivan became intimately familiar with the criminal litigation process as well as police investigative procedures.

Thereafter, he joined Fahri, Azzat & Co. where he discovered a passion for civil litigation, handling a wide host of matters ranging from corporate and commercial litigation, to tortious disputes and public interest litigation – all while continuing to handle a criminal portfolio of murder trials, death-penalty revision applications, as well as run-of-the-mill remand, bail and mitigation hearings.

Having joined the team at Thomas Philip, Ivan continues to handle complex civil litigation files mainly involving fraud, conspiracy, breach of fiduciary duties and misfeasance, where his criminal litigation background enables him to provide comprehensive solutions in respect of quasi-criminal civil wrongs.
