Where do you call Home?
Jakarta, Indonesia
Where are you now?
Seattle, Washington
Where have you been in between?
Jakarta, Indonesia for 4 years after finishing internship with TP, then Seattle until now.
Career progression since TP?
After finishing my internship with TP, I came back to Jakarta to work in corporate law firm for 4 years (2013-2017). Then I came to Seattle to pursue my Master's degree in Law (LLM in Global Business Law) at the University of Washington School of Law. In Seattle, I interned with several organizations, among others, Washington State Bar Association and King County Superior Court. I just took the bar and will be starting working April 1 with a private law firm in downtown Seattle.
Personal highlights?
Newcomer to Seattle (less than 2 years) and currently trying to settle down and have smooth work-life transition here.
Interests beyond the Law?
I have a huge interest in social organization. Apart from my Law career, I also devote my time to involvement in social organizations such as LEO Club International (subsidiary of Lions Club International).
The future…..?
I can see myself working in the Law field for the long run, but I also have a dream to be a business woman and give back to society. My dream is to establish a charitable organization or be a part-time lecturer while having my own business line.
Reflections on your time in Kuala Lumpur and at Thomas Philip?
What I learned the most from TP was adapting to a working environment because it was my very first working experience. I also learnt how to do team work professionally because everyone in the firm relies on each other to produce an excellent work product. Although my job description at that time was simple which was doing research, I believed if I did it right it will also be helpful for the associate.
