Where have you been in between/ Career progression since TP?
I have since graduated from University of Adelaide (December 2013), came back to Malaysia where I completed my pupillage at Zain & Co., Kuala Lumpur (January 2015 - October 2015). Subsequently, I have joined the Dispute Resolution Department in Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill, Kuala Lumpur (February 2016 - April 2017). The partner I was reporting to in Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill decided to start his own practice and I have followed him to the new firm, Himahlini & Loh, Kuala Lumpur (from May 2017 - current).
Personal highlights?
I have the privilege to be involved in highly contested shareholders disputes involving the tracing of multi-million dollar family funds. Matter involved working closely with forensic accounting experts. Counsels involved in the matter are among the Top 10 in the country.
The future?
To continue practising in Dispute Resolution and Litigation areas and looking to specialise in the coming years.
Reflections on your time in Kuala Lumpur and at Thomas Philip?
Thomas Philip offered me the invaluable opportunity to experience the practical aspect of litigation practice and reaffirm my interests to practice in that field. More crucially, the internship experience prepared me psychologically for the hectic life that lay ahead of me at that time.
