Career progression since TP?
I returned to the UK and completed my legal degree. I then trained in a firm in Bristol, and qualified as an English solicitor in September 2014. I now work for a large firm in London and am specialised in commercial litigation and arbitration. In 2018, I worked in Hong Kong for a year. Over the last 9 months I have done an accelerated course in French law and have just taken the Paris Bar exams.
Personal highlights?
Continuous learning, seeing my skills develop, working in Asia.
The future…..?
Continue in my current trajectory with added French / civil law experience.
Reflections on your time in Kuala Lumpur and at Thomas Philip?
A fantastic experience which gave me a taste for what I ultimately ended up doing. Matthew is an inspiration in terms of thinking of new ways to forge relationships and share ideas. I have very fond memories from my time at TP, and am very grateful for the opportunity it provided.
