Where are you now?​
Currently, I am a student in VolksUniversiteit, Rotterdam. From September 2019, I will be a student in Erasmus University, Rotterdam majoring in Linguistics. 

Where have you been in between?
I have been working as an Indonesian Lawyer for almost five years in AriyantoArnaldo Law Firm as a Senior Associate in their Litigation and Corporate Commercial Department. I have work experience in entire aspects of litigation, corporate transactional and commercial matters, as follows:

  • Advised an Indonesia Electricity Supply company engaged in relation to sales and purchase agreements, purchase orders, invoices, billings or payment methods, including but not limited to preparing notifications or warning letters to their customers;
  • Advised one of Asia’s largest Subsea Service Provider companies engaged in the order to carry out a submission of Police Report on commercial fraud litigation;
  • Assisted India and Singapore companies on business expansion and establishment of representative offices in Indonesia;
  • Advised a multinational manufacturing company on termination of employment;
  • Advised an Australia company on export or supply of livestock to Indonesia as well as the provision of livestock purchasing and breeding services;
  • Advised re work permits for foreign employees in Indonesia; and advised one of the largest property developers in Indonesia in the area of collective labour agreements, employment agreements and internal policies.

Career progression since TP? 
After my internship at Thomas Philip Advocates and Solicitors, I have been pursuing my career in litigation law for almost five years.

Personal highlights?

  • Education - Candidate of Master of Arts at Erasmus University.
  • Working Experience - Lawyer at AriyantoArnaldo Law Firm (February 2014 - November 2018).
  • ​Qualifications - Bar License, Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI).

The future...?
I am planning to pursue my career in The Netherlands.

Reflections on your time in Kuala Lumpur and at Thomas Philip?
From my internship at TP, I gained knowledge of Common Law which eventually has contributed to my study of country’s common law systems especially regarding Intellectual Property Law.
